Jewelry shop robbed at gunpoint in Mahottari; owner injured



JALESHWOR: A person has been injured in the firing opened by a gang of gold looters in Mahottari district.

A group of robbers barged into the jewelry shop owned by Birendra Sah, a local, on Wednesday night.

Jewelry shop owner Birendra Sah, 50, sustained injuries in the firing, said SP Dinesh Acharya of District Police Office, Mahottari.

Sah took a bullet to his stomach. He has been taken to Dharan for treatment. Other three family members were injured in the incident.

The robbers have decamped with 172 tolas of silver, five tolas of gold and Rs 200,000 in cash, said police.
