One died, four injured critically in accident in Palpa



BUTWAL: One person was killed and four others were injured when two tippers fell from the same spot after colliding at Ribdikot-2, Laghuwa Jorte in Palpa district.

According to District Police Office, Palpa, Tanka Bahadur Kunwar, 45, of Rurukshetra-2 of Gulmi, died at the spot when Ba 4 Kha 7320 and Province 3-02-001 Ka 0250 tipper heading to Gulmi from Butwal collided and fell off the road.

According to sources, the injured have been identified as driver Ashok Kunwar, 38, Rama Kunwar, 42, of Rurukshetra-2, Gulmi, another driver Rajendra Bajgai, 26, of Lalitpur and Kisan Kunwar, 22, of Sunwal-9, Nawalparasi.

The police reported that the condition of the four injured is critical. All the injured are undergoing treatment at the Mission Hospital in Tansen, Palpa.

Both tippers were carrying cement. After the collision, the tippers had fallen nearly 220 meters down the road.

The police are investigating further for details.
