KATHMANDU: Khalti, an emerging digital wallet and payment gateway in Nepal, has tied up with Social Security Fund to make SSF funds payable from Khalti Digital Wallet.

With this, payments can be made directly from the pocket digital wallet to the Social Security Fund.

Any organization affiliated with the Social Security Fund can deposit money directly through the pocket digital wallet.

The service is aimed at digitizing every payment made by Khalti in Nepal, a press statement issued by Khalti said today.

According to the statement, the service has been launched after an agreement signed between Jonam Bhurtel, Assistant Manager, Khalti Digital Wallet, and Kapil Mani Gyawali, Executive Director, Social Security Fund.

Under this, employees of both government and private offices working in the Social Security Fund will now be able to pay a certain amount from their monthly income from their pocket wallet.

The amount has to be paid by the 15th of every month. In case of non-payment, if any employee claims the amount of his fund, the organization will be fined a certain amount.

“Khalti has introduced this facility of easy payment to the organizations affiliated to the Social Security Fund,” Bhurtel said.

Kapil Mani Gyawali, Executive Director of the Social Security Fund, said, “We are pleased to be able to provide 24-hour deposit facility to the employees scattered in 77 districts through this very short collaboration with Khalti.”
