Facebook blocks Trump’s account for two years



WASHINGTON: Social media giant Facebook has decided to suspend the account of American former President Donald Trump for two years.

Facebook took a decision to this effect after it was confirmed that Trump incited violence at Capitol Hill on January 6.

The violence had taken place when a rally in support of Trump moved towards Capitol on January 6 Hill alleging that the voting was rigged.

Trump had been alleged to have incited the violence. A total of five people had lost their lives in the violence.
