Former Royal couple expresses gratitude to all frontline workers



KATHMANDU: The former royal couple has expressed gratitude to all those who expressed concerns and wished them a speedy recovery when they were infected with the coronavirus.

In a message released via video on Thursday, former King Gyanendra Shah, who was seated alongside former queen Komal Shah expressed gratitude to all Nepalis inside and outside the country who wished them good health when they in the hospital.

In the message, the former King Shah said, “We are both in the process of full recovery. But the pandemic inside and outside the country has worried us. We need internal initiatives and external support to fight this pandemic.”

The former King also thanked those who have been working at the forefront in the fight against the pandemic.

“We want to thank all health workers, security guards, cleaners, and social workers who have been working at the forefront,” he said.
