Govt allocates Rs 93 billion to provinces and Rs 206 billion to local levels on equalization and conditional grants



KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs. 93.2 billion to the Provinces and Rs. 206 billion to the local levels for the coming fiscal year 2078/79 towards equalization and conditional grant.

For the coming Fiscal Year 2021/22, Rs. 57.95 billion has been allocated to the provinces and Rs. 94.56 billion for the local levels.

A total of 35.87 billion has been allocated to the provinces and Rs. 173.50 billion to the local level on conditional grants.

Similarly, Rs 12.37 billion has been allocated for supplementary grants and Rs 12.46 billion for special grants, said Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel.

The amount is determined on the basis of the formula determined by the Primary Resources and Finance Commission. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that the conditional grant has been increased for the coming fiscal year.
