Chandragiri Mayor Giri tests COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: Chandragiri Municipality Mayor Ghanshyam Giri has been diagnosed coronavirus positive.

According to sources, Mayor Giri who had mild fever on Monday had given swab for PCR test on Tuesday.

His report which came on Wednesday showed him coronavirus positive.

Mayor Giri is currently in home isolation.

Out of 4052 coronavirus people infected in Chandragiri, 3099 have recovered.

There are 909 active cases of coronavirus in the Municipality.

So far, 46 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus infection in Chandragiri.

The municipality has also set up a 75-bed isolation center with oxygen support.
