EC issues health safety protocols for National Assembly election



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has approved health safety protocol in view of National Assembly (NA) election.

As per the health protocol, a health desk with health persons would be set up wherein the voters would show their PCR test reports before their entry into the polling station.

According to EC Spokesperson Raj Kumar Shrestha, use of mask and sanitizer are made mandatory during the voting. The EC has managed a separate voting poll for the Covid-19 infected voters in the polling station in view of Covid-19.

The ballot box, voting seal among other required materials would be disinfected in a certain time interval. It is stated that an ambulance with health workers would be kept on standby near the polling stations.
