NC president Deuba greets Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitra

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged one and all to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitra, the biggest festival of the Muslims, by adopting the health safety protocols in view of the increased risk of coronavirus infection.

The leader of the main opposition party stated this in a message of best wishes he gave on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitra festival today.

In his message, Deuba has wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all the Muslims.

He urged the people to observe the festival with mutual unity, trust and love by maintaining social distancing.

The former Prime Minister opined that the festival of Eid-ul-Fitra has promoted religious tolerance and goodwill in Nepali society, expressing the belief that it will inspire all towards working for peace, goodwill and prosperity in the nation.

Noting that the Muslims have made important contribution to each and every democracy movements waged in the country in the past for establishment and reinstatement of democracy, he expressed the belief that the Muslim community will become more responsible protection of democracy.

Deuba also believed that the Eid-ul-Fitra festival will become successful in spreading the message of unity among people of all castes and creeds.
