Teacher arrested for raping 14-year-old student



KATHMANDU: A teacher has been arrested on a charge of raping a 14-year-old girl in Kathmandu.

Police have arrested Shambhu Lama, 29, of Dolakha Bhimeshwor Municipality-9, from Putalisadak, Kathmandu on Tuesday morning.

According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu, he took the girl to a hotel in Sundhara of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11 and raped her.

He kept the girl in the hotel for two days.

He was arrested after receiving information that he had been raped her several times.

Police have stated that the case of rape is being investigated by keeping Lama in custody. Lama used to teach in a school in Gorkha.

According to police, Lama brought his own student to Kathmandu and kept her in a hotel.
