CIAA nabs officer taking bribe from farmers in Rolpa



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has nabbed a high official at Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project, Apple zone Office, Dolpa for taking bribe from a farmer seeking subsidy.

According to CIAA sources,  Hasamullah Khan the head of the Apple Zone office in Dolpa, took bribe from a farmer seeking the subsidy amount the latter was entitled to.

The commission caught him demanding bribe to pay the subsidy to the farmers for producing Dante Okhar saplings.

Narayan Prasad Risal, the spokesperson of CIAA,  informed that  a team deployed from the commission’s Surkhet office had taken Khan under control while the latter was taking Rs 25,000 as bribe from his office.
