Infant killed, 5 injured in Rukum jeep fall



RUKUM: An infant was killed and five others sustained injuries after a jeep, Lu 1 Ja 1781, en route to Sisne-7 from Khalanga skidded off the road and fell some 300 meters down at Sisne-8, Jhimkhola on Friday.

The deceased is nine-month-old Nirjala Rawal of Sisne-8.

All the injured have been brought Rukum District Hospital following primary treatment at the Dhape-based health post.

The reason for the mishap is yet to be known as the driver has been injured, said Police Inspector Bir Bahadur Sunar.
