KATHMANDU: Foreign Affair Minister Pradeep Gyawali attended a video conference Tuesday with his counterparts from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka on joint response to COVID-19 pandemic.
In the conference, Minister Gyawali stressed the need for high-level of engagement and cooperation among regional partners for COVID-19 response and recovery.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs later Tuesday, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi announced to provide Nepal with an additional grant of medical equipment and materials equivalent to 5 million RMB (Rs 91 million) to help the government better fight the COVID-19 situation.
Foreign Minister Gyawali agreed to strengthen pragmatic cooperation to combat COVID-19 pandemic, revive economic recovery and saving people’s lives.
