Tribhuvan University cancels examinations at all levels



KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) has indefinitely canceled pre-scheduled yearly and semester-wise exams across the country with effect from Tuesday.

Issuing a notice Monday, the Office of the Controller of Examinations of TU has stated that all exams of the university is going to be postponed until further notice.

The oldest university of Nepal has taken the decision keeping in mind the situation arising from the second wave of COVID-19 infection in the country.

Noting that prohibitory orders might be enforced in several parts of the country, it has said conducting exams in such scenario will not be possible.

Earlier Sunday, the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) also recommended to the government to postpone examinations at all levels amid the spread of the second wave of coronavirus infection. A meeting of the CCMC held on Sunday has recommended to the Council of Ministers to postpone the examinations at all levels.
