PM Oli inaugurates newly constructed Dharahara

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated newly constructed Dharahara on Saturday.

Prime Minister Oli inaugurated Dharahara by releasing an inscription amidst a program organized at Sundhara where Dharahara is located this morning.

Oli went up to the veranda on the 20th floor of Darahara through the lift and viewed the scene of the Kathmandu Valley after showing flower petals as part of the inauguration of Dharahara which is known as Bhimsen Tower.

Dharahara had broken down due to the mega earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015.

Oli had laid a foundation stone for the construction of Dharahara on December 27, 2018.

Though its external design resembles to old Dharahara of 11 stories, it has 22 stories with the height of 83.85-meters from the land surface, informed Mani Ram Gelal, the secretary of the National Reconstruction Authority.
