World Hindu Federation office vandalized in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The office of World Hindu Federation has been vandalized in Bansbari, Kathmandu, on Monday.

Secretary General of the federation Asmita Bhandari, condemning the act, has called for immediate investigation into the incident and action against the guilty.

“Who has carried out such shameful act? What is the motive behind the attack? Necessary action has to be taken against people involved in the incident,” she wrote on a Facebook post on Monday.

Meanwhile, police personnel have reached the office, met with officials of the federation and inspected the damage.

The vandalizing act comes on the day former king Gyanendra Shah and queen Komal Shah took a royal bath in the Ganges River as a ‘Hindu Emperor’ in the Maha Kumbh Mela being held in Haridwar of Uttarakhand state, India, today.
