Former King Gyanendra reaches Haridwar



KATHMANDU: Former King of Nepal Gyanendra Shah has reached Haridwar at the invitation of Niranjan Peethadhishwar Swami Shri Kailashanandji Maharaj.

Former King Gyanendra has been given a grand welcome with Vedic chanting at 9 am today at the Ashram at the Eternal Shree Siddha Peeth Shree Dakshinkali Temple on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar.

Shah has already worshiped Dakshinkali pooja. His worship program lasted about 45 minutes.

Earlier, the former king had met Nepalis who had reached there.

After breakfast, he will be greeted at a public event. He will be welcomed and blessed by Shri Mahant Narendra Giri, President of the All India Akhara Parishad, and Shri Mahant Rabindra Puri, President of the Mansa Devi Temple Trust.

Gyanendra Shah will address the program.

He is scheduled to stay in Haridwar today and tomorrow.

He is also scheduled to dine with ten thousand saints this evening.
