KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 5.4-magnitude jolted Eastern Nepal on Monday evening.
People in the hilly districts of eastern Nepal reported they felt a shock at around 9 in the evening. Tremors were felt in Kathmandu and the central region of the country.
The earthquake, with an epicenter in Sikkim, shook the region, according to National Center for Seismology, India.
The epicenter lies close to the India-Bhutan border, some 25 kilometers southeast of Gangtok, Sikkim, according to Indian media.
Likewise, tremors were also felt in Bhutan, according to reports.
No injuries or human casualties have been reported.
