KATHMANDU: The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country with chances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places towards the afternoon due to the influence of the local wind, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.
The Department said although it will be sunny in the morning, there is a possibility of rainfall in the hilly region as the local wind will become active in the afternoon.
The weather is partly cloudy in the hilly region and generally fair in the rest of the country at present.
It will be partly to generally cloudy with chances of light rain along with thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly region of Province No 1 and Gandaki province in the afternoon today.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division in its weather update stated that Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 27.5 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of minus 1.9 degrees Celsius while Janakpur recorded the highest maximum of 35.8 degrees Celsius over the last 24 hours.
