Communication in two districts disrupted due to snapping of optical fibre



KATHMANDU: Nepal Telecom’s mobile, landline and internet services remain disrupted for four days in Baitadi and Darchula due to the snapping of the optical fiber.

It is said the optical fiber has broken at a place between Patan and Khodpe of Baitadi district. Nepal Telecom Baitadi said the breakage of fiber occurred on Monday.

Thousands of Nepal Telecom’s customers in the two districts have been affected due to the disruption in mobile and internet services for three days.

Nepal Telecom Baitadi’s chief Surendra Karki said repairing works are on at one location while the optical fiber at another location has already been mended.
