ILAM: Durga Prasad Timsina, who was falsely jailed for 40 years in India, has acquired his Nepali citizenship certificate. A resident of Lumbak in Mai municipality-10, Timsina recently returned home after being freed from jail in India.
Timisina went to the District Administration Office today, where he got his citizenship certificate. Administrative Officer Devi Charan Phunyal handed him the citizenship certificate numbered 03-01-77-03251.
He got citizenship by decent from his father Champhakhar Timsina and mother Dhan Maya Timsina. Earlier, assistant Chief District Officer Jharendra Chapagain felicitated him by wrapping a shawl around him.
