Kathmandu Valley CDOs instruct to keep quarantines, isolation centers in a ready position



KATHMANDU: Considering the risk of coronavirus outbreak, authorities have decided to keep all isolation centers and quarantine in the Kathmandu Valley in a ready position.

A meeting of Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur held Wednesday decided to instruct all district health offices of Kathmandu to keep all quarantine and isolation centers in a ready condition.

A statement issued after the meeting said that they have instructed the concerned health officials and health units to be on standby.

The CDOs have also asked people to avoid crowding or organize any gatherings such as cultural feasts, among others, and have asked people, particularly youths, to adapt to the health protocols while celebrating the upcoming Holi festival.

They have also warned of action against anyone flouting the directives.
