State 5 govt. launches publicity program for Visit Lumbini 2076



BUTWAL: The State 5 government on Wednesday launched publicity drive for the Visit Lumbini Year-2076 BS.

With the slogan of ‘Visit Lord Buddha’s birth place, Spread the message of peace’, the campaign aims to attract around two million tourists to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

The government organized a program at Hetauda and extended an open invitation to the people of State 5 to visit Lumbini.

Bharat KC, coordinator of the Visit Lumbini-2076 Publicity Sub-Committee, stated that the campaign would officially start from Buddha Purnima on May 18.

He informed that the state government has allocated a total of Rs 400 million for the campaign.

According to him, tourists visiting Lumbini would be given a tour to places such as Tilaurakot, Devdadha in Rupandehi and Ramgram among others.
