NA teams arrive home from Pakistan, Bangladesh

KATHMANDU: Two delegations of the Nepali Army (NA) have returned home after winding up their visit to two South Asian countries Sunday.

According to the NA Directorate of Public Relations and Information, cadets of Army Command and Staff College, Shivapuri, have arrived in Kathmandu after completing their week-long visits to Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Lieutenant Colonel Hira Lal Joshi of the Army Command and Staff College led a 40-member delegation to Bangladesh, while Brigadier General Bimal Raj Sharma led a 47-member delegation to Pakistan.

The two NA teams visited offices of ground, navy and airforce authorities in the two countries. They also went to various military-run industries and educational institutions in the course of their visit.

The NA believes such visits help impart young officers with knowledge of contemporary military issues and diplomacy.
