Khati, injured in elephant attack, dies



ILAM:  One of the two people who were injured in an elephant attack this morning died in course of treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Kritiman Khati, 19, of Deumai municipality-10 in Ilam. He died while undergoing treatment at Mechi Hospital.

Khati was referred from Birtamod-based Birtacity Hospital for further treatment, said Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Jhapa, Rakesh Thapa.

Khati and Milan Karki Doli, 19, of Arjundhara municipality-1 were injured in an elephant attack at Buddhashanti rural municipality-2 this morning when they were chasing the wild elephant after it entered the village.

Similarly, the condition of Doli is normal, and receiving treatment at Living Home Polyclinic, Budhabare.
