Woman killed in accident at Jawalakhel



KATHMANDU: A woman has died when a bus hit her at Jawalakhel Chowk in Lalitpur Monday afternoon.

A bus heading to Bhansipati hit a scooter this afternoon, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Prajwal Maharjan.

SP Maharjan said that the bus bearing registration number Ba 2 Kha 3574 had hit the scooter (P 3-02-010 Pa 5589).

The scooter driver of around 33-34 years old died while undergoing treatment at Alka Hospital in Jawalakhel.

The traffic police were checking license at Jawalakhel at the time of the accident.

He said that the bus hit the scooter from behind while she was trying to evade the checking.

The bus driver has been taken under control by the police.
