Japanese Ambassador pays farewell call on PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister KP Oli Wednesday.

Ambassador Saigo is returning home after completing his two-year and nine-month tenure in Nepal.

During the meeting held at the PM official residence in Baluwatar, they discussed matters of mutual interests and Nepal-Japan relations, according to the PM’s Secretariat.

Prime Minister Oli said that the tenure of Ambassador Saigo was successful and thanked him for his role in strengthening the friendly relations between Nepal and Japan through various programs, including the Nagdhunga Tunnel.

High-ranking officials of the government of Nepal and officials at the Kathmandu-based Japanese Embassy were present on the occasion.
