US Ambassador Berry praises Nepal Army as oldest and valiant in Asia



KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has lauded Nepal Army (NA) as the oldest and valiant army of Asia.

Addressing the army officers of six different nations at Nepal Army’s staff college at Shivapuri, Ambassador Berry praised the bravery and glorious history of NA.

“Nepal Army is one of the oldest armies in Asia and the world,” Ambassador Berry told in the program, “I have found NA has a glorious history and significant contribution to the unification of the country.”

He added that NA has been able to establish itself as one of the professional armies of the old.

According to Ambassador Berry, NA is one of the bravest armies in the world.

He appreciated the NA’s role in the protection of nature and wildlife as well.

Ambassador Berry boosted the morale of the army saying that it is a matter of pride for the military officers to be part of such an army and serve such a beautiful and unique country.
