FNJ’s 26th General Convention begins in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The 26th general convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), an umbrella organization of Nepali journalists, has started in Kathmandu.

The general convention of the Federation has started with the main slogan of “Freedom of Press Freedom: Safe and Professional Journalists”.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun inaugurated the convention at the Rastriya Sabha Griha Wednesday morning.

After the inaugural session, the closed session will begin in the hall, according to FNJ Secretary Udaya GM.

As per the provision in the FNJ statute, the election for the new working committee of the Federation will be held within a month after the inauguration ceremony of the general convention.
