KATHMANDU: The COVID-19 Technical Advisory Committee has suggested the government provide a second dose of coronavirus vaccine 56 days after the first vaccination.
The government had earlier decided to administer the second dose 28 days after the first jab.
The committee proposed before the government after the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested administrating a second dose after eight to 12 weeks.
Coordinator of the Technical Committee Dr. Shyamraj Uprety said that it has been found through a study that antibody formation will be good if the second jab is administrated much later.
