Over 9,000 administered coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: More than 9,000 Nepalis got vaccinated against coronavirus today. Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population Jageshwor Gautam shared that the Covishield vaccine was administered on 9,084 persons across the country on Wednesday.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli launched the Covishield vaccination provided by Indian government in grant.

Spokesperson Dr Gautam shared that 1255 got the anti-Covid-19 vaccine in Province-1, 726 in Province-2, 2694 in Bagmati Province, 1,843 in Gandaki Province, 733 in Lumbini, 751 in Karnali Province and 1,082 in Sudurpaschim Province.

The government has planned to administer the vaccine on 430 thousand people. So far, no side effect is felt by the people receiving the vaccine, Gautam added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli, also the defense minister, visited the Birendra Military Hospital, Chhauni today and observed service delivery on Covid-19 vaccination.
