Country will move ahead towards prosperity along with fresh mandate: Minister Gurung



KATHMANDU: Minster for Communications and Information Technology, Parbat Gurung, has appealed to the general public not to be disappointed with current political situation.

Presenting the award at the ‘Seventh National Capital Award-2077’ organized by Capital Entertainment here on Sunday, Minister Gurung expressed commitment to moving ahead the country towards the path of economic prosperity along with fresh mandate.

He shared, “Don’t be disappointed with the current political situation. The country will move ahead towards the right path after fresh mandate and the country will be a prosperous nation.”

Talking about the contribution of Nepali art, literature and culture in nation building, Minister Gurung added that the government would appreciate the contribution of art and literature sector in the society and the role of this sector is very significant in building a prosperous nation.

On the occasion, lyricist Unnati Bohara is awarded with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.

Similarly, journalists Dinesh Thapa and Shantipriya, lyricist Yubraj Adhikari, Bhishma Raj Phulara, Pratima Gurung, Mina Subba, Surendra Maharjan, musician Santosh Shrestha and singer Tshiring Bhutiya were honoured.

Likewise, awards were presented to 45 best singers, musicians and models under 35 different categories.
