KATHMANDU: The Capital Market Forum formed under the chairmanship of Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Ambika Prasad Poudel has been expanded.

The Forum has been formed for the first time in the FNCCI with the main task of working actively for the development and expansion of the market, effective implementation of the rules and regulations regulating the capital market, and making suggestions for timely improvement of the rules and regulations.

Former member of the executive committee of the FNCCI Ram Saran Thapaliya has been elected as the co-chairman of the newly formed forum.

Handing over a formal letter on behalf of the FNCCI to the newly-elected members, FNCCI President Shekhar Golchha expressed the confidence that the FNCCI would an important role in making the capital market sustainable and prosperous through policy reform, institutional arrangements, and promotion of healthy practices through the Forum.

He also said that emphasis has been laid on the formation of a capital market forum so that the federation can contribute to the development of the capital market in Nepal.
