PM Cup: Police Club sets mammoth 311-run target for Lumbini



KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Club has registered a mammoth target of 311 runs for Lumbini Pradesh in a match under the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament on Thursday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss at TU International Cricket Ground, Police notched up 310 runs losing four wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Police Club’s batsman Pawan Sharraf hit a record half-century with 50 runs including six sixes and one four off 13 balls. Sunil Dhamala made a century with 104 runs including seven fours and one six off 145 balls.

Likewise, Dipendra Singh Airee made 85 runs including six sixes and one four off 61 balls while Aarif Sheikh contributed 29 runs off 14 balls.

In reply, Lumbini’s Krishna Karki, Dipendra Rawat, Saurabh Khanal and Anil Kharel took one wicket each of Police.

This is the highest ever run target under the ongoing Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament.
