Cabinet recommends Prez to prorogue winter session of National Assembly



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to prorogue the winter session of the National Assembly from Sunday.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held this morning decided to recommend the President for the prorogation of the upper house effective from today midnight, said a Cabinet minister.

The winter session of the upper house was summoned as the Parliament session should be summoned at least once every six months as per the provision of the Constitution.

The House of Representatives is currently dissolved.
