KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda is taking his ailing wife Sita Dahal to India for treatment today.
Sita will be flown to Mumbai, India from Tribhuvan International Airport at 11 am. Chairman Prachanda and his daughter Ganda Dahal will be accompanying her, according to Prachanda’s secretariat.
Sita Dahal, who has been suffering from a hereditary Parkinson’s disease, was admitted to Mediciti Hospital in Kathmandu last week after she developed additional health problems.
She was previously treated in Singapore, the United States, and India.
