KATHMANDU: The Grande International Hospital based in Tokha, Kathmandu has so far provided services to over 785,000 patients in eight years of its operation.
Established with the investment of private sector in January 2013, the hospital has rendered medical services to the patients in different 26 streams of medicines. Since its establishment, the hospital has successfully undertaken surgeries of 31,900 patients, informed deputy director of the hospital Dr Binod Bijukchhe.
During the time of COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital has treated 60,000 patients and successfully performed surgeries on 1,182 patients. At a programme organized to mark its 8th anniversary on Sunday, chairperson of the board of directors of the hospital engineer Deepak Kunwar said that the cooperation from all sides has made it possible for the hospital to witness leap forward in the service of the patient through its diverse and quality delivery. “We have come up with the operation of the hospital to render service rather than to earn money”, he said, adding, “We would elevate our success level on collective efforts”.
The hospital was established with a view to providing quality health services in the country by retaining competent health professionals, Kunwar added. Hospital’s nursing in-charge ND Maharjan said the hospital has been imparting specialized training to nurse and mobilizing them for providing better health care services to the patients.
The hospital which was established with the motto of ‘care to cure’ has provided direct and indirect employment to 1,000 people. The hospital has been rendering its service through 200 beds.
Complying with the government’s directives, the hospital has allotted specialized 54 beds including 18-bed intensive care units for the treatment of the COVID-19 patients, shared hospital’s general manager Bikas Man Singh. Employees with outstanding performance were felicitated on the occasion of the anniversary. (RSS)
