KATHMANDU: The track-opening and up-gradation work of Koshi corridor under the north-south corridor project has resumed.

The Nepal Army had been entrusted to open the 14-km track of the corridor 10 months ago. The up-gradation of 10-km road is currently underway and 39-km road is being black-topped, said the Koshi corridor Khandbari-Kimathanka road project.

The Ministry of Finance has approved a budget of Rs 2.6 billion for blacktopping the road, said Project Chief Gautam Kumar Shrestha.
