KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli is convening a meeting of the National Security Council today.

The meeting has been called after President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers dissolved the House of Representatives on Sunday.

Prime Minister is Chairman of the National Security Council. In addition, the members of the Council are the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Finance, the Chief Secretary and the Commander-in-Chief of the Nepal Army.

Currently, PM Oli is holding the portfolio of Defense Minister.
