NC holding office-bearers’ meeting on Tanahun incident



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its officer-bearers’ meeting at President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkhanta today.

The meeting scheduled for 2 pm will dwell on the misbehavior meted out to senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel by security personnel at Tanahun recently.

According to NC’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, today’s meeting will form a strategy on how to react to the misdemeanor meted out to Poudel by the government by abusing the authority.

Police had had taken Poudel into custody for three hours when he reached Buldi to inaugurate the bridge connecting ward 1 and 2 of Vyas municipality in Tanahun district on Wednesday.

Poudel inaugurated the bridge only on Thursday due to disputes even its construction had been completed two years ago.
