Financial and monetary policies will be implemented effectively: FM Poudel



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has said the programs brought forth as per financial and monetary policies would be implemented effectively by minimizing the risk of COVID-19 in national economy.

Minister Poudel made commitment that government would remove every barrier in the implementation of programs. He was saying this during a meeting with the newly elected office bearers of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Wednesday.

“Government believes that private sector has significant role in employment generation, production and economic prosperity. For it to continue, the Ministry is ready to cooperate with private sector. We are positive towards and clear on private sector,” he reminded.

He further said he would not ‘impose’ any rule or directive on the private sector but take positively the suggestions and make policies accordingly. “Government is always ready for discussion and collaboration,” Minister Poudel reiterated.

On the occasion, the newly elected officials of the FNCCI stressed on implementation of budget and monetary policy.

FNCCI President Shekhar Golchha stated that FNCCI was preparing a vision paper and would work with government in collaboration.
