Nepal Police focusing on crime control: IGP Khanal

KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal has asserted that Nepal Police has been focusing on controlling crime in order to maintain and augment peace and security in the country.

Khanal added that his department has been carrying out activities in a professional and transparent manner.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Nepal Police Headquarters in Kathmandu today, IGP Khanal said that the Nepal Police has been actively working towards controlling crime adding that action would be taken against anyone going against the country’s law.

He claimed that the police have been carrying out investigation on the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta as well as the case of Ram Bahadur Bamjan.
