Four, including an octogenarian, succumb to coronavirus

GORKHA: An 83-year-old man from Palungtaar Municipality-7 of Gorkha has succumbed to coronavirus Tuesday morning.

He was admitted to the ICU of the hospital for treatment on November 12, according to Krishna Dhakal, Information Officer.

Meanwhile, a person infected with COVID-19 died at the Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa at 5 am this morning.

The deceased has been identified as a 63-year-old man of Bardaghat-12 of West Nawalparasi, Dr Narayan Pokhrel said.

He was admitted to the hospital after he was tested positive for coronavirus on November 11 and suffered a heart attack on Monday night.

According to Dr Pokhrel, he died while doctors were preparing for his treatment after heart attack.

Likewise, two women infected with coronavirus succumbed to coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.

The women from Sunsari and Tehrathum died while undergoing treatment.

Dr. Ashish Shrestha said that a 38-year-old woman of Barakhshetra Municipality-8 of Sunsari died at 10:45 am yesterday.

She was diagnosed with corona infection on Monday.

Likewise, a 20-year-old girl from Tehrathum died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The girl, who was suffering from blood and respiratory problems, was diagnosed with corona infection on November 15.
