Head Constable dragged to court for graft



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against a police Head Constable deployed at the Area Police Office, Butwal, on the charge of taking a bribe.

The case has been filed at Special Court in Kathmandu.

CIAA Spokesperson Taranath Adhikari said that a case was filed against Head Constable Shiv Chandra Sahani on Tuesday on the charge of taking a bribe of Rs 400,000 from a service recipient.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Sahani took the bribe to facilitate caste discrimination.
