US Presidential Election: Donald Trump or Joe Biden?

WASHINGTON: Americans today headed to the polls across the country to decide whether President Donald Trump or his contender Joe Biden will be elected president, after a four years Trump.

Polls opened in some of the eastern states at 1100 GMT. The closely watched results will start to trickle in after 2400 GMT after the polls close in states such as Georgia.

Polls are open in almost all of the eastern United States.

Biden will be making appearances in two Pennsylvania cities.

Likewise, Trump is visiting his re-election headquarters outside Washington.

In several of the first Election Day ballots cast, Biden has won all five votes in Dixville Notch, NH, while Trump won 16-5 in Millsfield, NH.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic in the country, more than 99 million people cast early ballots, which is more than two-thirds of the entire vote count of nearly 139 million, international media reports said.

American voters are choosing between two septuagenarians — both Trump and Biden — older than the vast majority of the country’s 328 million citizens.

While Biden will be 78 by Inauguration Day on January 20, Trump is 74.

Furthermore, American voters are choosing all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate.
