NA arranges fool-proof security for Naravane’s visit

Visit to deepen long-standing, customary bonds of friendship between two armies: India



KATHMANDU: Spokesperson of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Naveen Kumar says the visit of Indian Army Chief, General Manoj Mukund Naravane to Nepal would further deepen the long-standing and customary bonds of friendship between the two armies.

General Naravane is arriving in Nepal on Wednesday on a three-day visit.

Meanwhile, the Nepal Army (NA) has made preparations for his stay here in Kathmandu.

Security arrangements have been made for his three-day visit. Security has been beefed up in areas such as the Tribhuvan International Airport, Tahachal area, and other parts of Kathmandu.

According to the NA, General Naravane will stay at the Hotel Soaltee, Tahachal. Preparations for his transportation have been made accordingly with an army chopper that would take him to Shivapuri Staff College.

Likewise, General Naravane will go for a mountain flight on Friday morning. “For this, special security arrangements have been made,” NA source said adding that any suspicious activities during General Naravane’s visit would be dealt with immediately.

A three-layer security will be in place in which NA personnel will be mobilized for his security while Nepal Police personnel, Armed Police Force personnel and members of the National Vigilance Center will also be mobilized during his travel.
