NC holding office-bearers’ meeting today

KATHMANDU: An officer-bearers’ meeting of the main opposition Nepali Congress is taking place at the central party headquarter in Sanepa on Monday.

To be held at 1 pm today, the meeting will dwell on the upcoming general convention of the party among other latest political developments of the country.

Officer-bearers, former officer-bearers and some central committee members will participate in the meeting, said chief secretary of the NC Krishna Paudel.

The meeting will also discuss the memorandum submitted by senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel to President Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 28.

Paudel had submitted the memorandum demanding that the party be run in line with the party statute and environment be created conducive for holding the 14th general convention of the party.

Similarly, a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the party has been called for November 6 on the preparation of the 14th general convention of the party.

NC has scheduled its general convention for February 19-22, 2021.
