Deuba condoles demise of leader Gahatraj



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the demise of NC’s general convention representative and central committee member of Nepal Dalit Association Bhimlal Gahatraj.

The 69-year-old leader passed away this morning while receiving treatment in a hospital in Morang district.

Issuing a statement, Deuba has expressed heartfelt condolences to the departed soul and deep sympathy to the bereaved family while recalling Gahatraj’s role in Nepal’s democratic movement and party’s organizational strength.

Deuba has stated that the demise of Gahatraj was an irreparable loss to the NC.

A permanent resident of Urlabari in Morang district, the late Gahatraj was active during the democratic movements in the country.
