RJP celebrates third anniversary

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) celebrated its third anniversary on Saturday in presence of leaders and well-wishers.

Besides RJP leaders, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Coordinator of Naya Shakti Party Nepal Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party United Pashupati Shumsher Rana, and Attorney General Agni Kharel among others were present on the occasion.

RJP was formed on April 20, 2017 following unification between Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party, Sadhbhawana Party, Rastriya Madhes Samajwadi Party, Tarai Madhes Sadhbhawana Party, Nepal Sadhbhawana Party and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum- Ganatantrik .

The party has failed to organize unity convention although two years have passed since the unification. RJP had scheduled its convention for April 20-22 but was postponed following tornado in Bara and Parsa districts.
