Two coronavirus-infected including an octogenarian die in Butwal

BUTWAL: Two coronavirus-infected people have died in the course of treatment at Butwal COVID-19 Special Hospital.

The deceased are an 81-year-old man of Tilottama municipality-4, Rupandehi and a 38-year-old man of Arghakhanchi Padheri.

The octogenarian man who was hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus on October 17 passed away on Wednesday mid-night, informed Dr Bishnu Gautam, the information officer of the hospital.

Similarly, the 38-year-old man from Arghakhanchi was pronounced dead ate 9 pm yesterday.  He had been undergoing treatment  since October 8 after being diagnosed with the coronavirus on the same day.

With this, the number of deaths linked with the coronavirus at this hospital has reached 53, according to the Health Directorate of Lumbini Province.
